Lancashire Wildlife Trust - Brockholes
We are looking for volunteers to join our team of livestock checkers and help with cattle checks at Birch House Farm in Cockerham.
Training will be given in how to behave around livestock and what signs to be aware of to ensure that the animals are grazing in a safe environment.
Each checker will visit the site once a week between June and October to check the health and welfare of the livestock grazing there and this takes around an hour.
It's a great opportunity to spend time outdoors enjoying nature whilst checking the animals, making sure the fences are intact and keeping an eye out for any other reportable issues.
