Tree Planting

Blackpool Parks and Green Open Spaces

Tree Planting Volunteer (Tree Warden Programme)

As a Tree Planting Volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting Blackpool’s fight against climate change. By helping to plant and care for trees across local parks and green spaces, you’ll contribute to a natural carbon offset solution while enhancing habitats for wildlife and creating greener, healthier places for the community to enjoy.

This is a seasonal role, with planting projects taking place throughout autumn and winter. No prior experience is needed—full training and all equipment will be provided.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Planting young trees and helping them get established
  • Using basic tools such as spades safely and effectively
  • Working as part of a friendly team outdoors in all weather
  • Supporting the improvement of local green spaces for people and wildlife

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering as a Tree Warden is a great way to make a real difference in your local area. You’ll be helping to tackle climate change, support wildlife, and create greener spaces for everyone in Blackpool to enjoy.

It’s also a fantastic opportunity to:

  • Spend time outdoors and stay active
  • Meet new people and be part of a friendly team
  • Learn new skills and gain hands on environmental experience
  • Boost your wellbeing by connecting with nature

Whether you can join us regularly or just occasionally, your time will have a lasting impact.
