CHAT line volunteer

To provide a listening ear and emotional support to Carers.

· Call a Carer allocated to you at an agreed time each week for our Outgoing CHAT line.

· Offer emotional and/or peer support to Carers

· Work within the organisation’s policy on confidentiality and safeguarding

What skills do I need?

Willingness to listen to Carers in a non-judgemental way and provide emotional support.

Experience as an unpaid carer is desirable but not essential

Details

Phone calls are arranged around the matched carer's availability and usually on a weekly basis. Flexible, from 30 minutes a week for Outgoing and an hour a week for Incoming.
